Is DoorLoop a safer bet on hidden fees and long contracts in Ireland? On transparency the two are closer than you might expect: DoorLoop publishes its tiers openly and so does Rentalize. The difference is what you get for the money in an Irish or UK portfolio. DoorLoop is a well-priced US platform. It does not register a tenancy with the RTB, calculate the rent cap, or reconcile client money to SI 199, because it was never built to.

Common questions
On pricing transparency there is little between them: both publish tiers rather than quoting privately. On contracts, Rentalize does not require a long lock-in and supports full data export. The real risk in Ireland is not the contract, it is that DoorLoop does not cover RTB registration, the rent cap, HAP or SI 199 client money, so the compliance work stays with you and its cost never appears on either invoice.
It can hold Irish properties as records, but it does not implement Irish tenancy law. There is no RTB registration, no rent cap calculation under the rules from 1 March 2026, no HAP or Cost Rental workflow and no SI 199 client money handling.
DoorLoop is cheaper as a subscription line for a small portfolio. Whether it is cheaper to operate depends on how much statutory work you end up doing by hand. For an Irish agency that is usually the larger number.
